About The Music
CATCHY TUNES WITH LYRICS THAT MAKE YOU THINK
Jim’s original songs are lyrics-based and stylistically varied (country, boogie, folk, gospel, ragtime, rock and roll, or a combination).
They tell stories that are sometimes sarcastic, complaining, or ironic – but always funny.
Many mock authority figures (bosses, bureaucrats, politicians, clergy, teachers, therapists, parents, and spouses are all fair game), or point out hypocrisy and greed (religious fanatics, salespeople, beautiful people, old people, backseat drivers, the legal, banking, medical, pharmaceutical and counseling industries, and whatever else might piss him off).
Wrapped around an occasional nugget of sincerity.
Jim’s fondest wish is for other people to perform and record his original songs, hopefully better than he does himself. These musically simple songs are easy to learn and customize to your own style(s).
